  • Mis-sold vehicle

    Hi

    I have been mis-sold a vehicle.
I was clearly told this vehicle had a ready sat Nav.
When I took the vehicle on a test drive I requested the sd card to be inserted to sat Nav so I can view the working navigation.

However I was told it was locked away only provided only when sale was completed.

Purchased vehicle, left premises but returned immediately as a noticed sd card was not inserted.

Asked to speak to selling Sales rep no where to be seen.
Another member went to get sd card, then notified the car does not have one and advised to purchase one.

Next day spoke to both sales representative and sales manager both stated they can not offer me anything.

    Please advise.
    Thanks

    Re: Mis-sold vehicle

You write to the company and reject the car as it is not as described. Send you letter and get free proof of posting from a Post Office. You quote the right to reject under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 where you have 30 days to reject.

      Hi thanks for this
However how can I prove this was stated as it was only verbally stated?
      Thanks

Your word against theirs. There was a verbal statement about Sat Nav which you relied upon.

I am rejecting the car anyway but was wondering if it would be difficult to prove and also thinking about legal costs if it was concluded that I can't prove it.
          Thanks for your reply.

If the cost is below £10,000 then any legal proceedings would be via small claims track where costs are limited.
