Hello
I lent a fellow tradesman some tools.
He initially declared them lost and offered to pay for them, but no money was recieved.
I invoiced him then sent a letter before action.
Now he claims he has found them again and would return them ASAP... that was 3 months ago!
I'm confused as someone told me I had to claim under 'tort of conversion' which is a bit beyond me.
I'd be happier following the unpaid invoice route in county court. Represent myself, as he's admitted having them by email and text.
I've replaced the tools now, over a year since borrowed so don't want them back.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
