Hi i purchased a 3 year old jeep with 22k miles on it from a large garage chain on 8/7/17 after viewing and a short test drive i paid an initial deposit of £5000 and the dealer arranged finance on a pcp agreement for the remaining £12000 over 48 months reliability is essential to me so i had opted for an additional 2 years warranty on the car as well. The car is at the extreme end of my budget but i had hoped by buying relatively new with low miles i would have at least some worry free motoring but the day after delivery i poped the bonnet to fill the screen wash only to discover that it had clearly had some sort of rodent living under the bonnet. I contacted the dealer who explained it must have happened in the short time it was on the forecourt but i find this hard to believe asit looked like it had been in there a while.
The dealer agreed to give the engine bay a good clean and i had hoped this would be the end of the matter but this earning (one week after purchase ) i have notice a small pool of oil ware i had parked it. I accept that it is not a new car but i have absolutely no confidence in the vehicle already and am wondering what my rights would be to return and regect the car . I would greatly appreciate anyone's thoughts or advice on the matter. Thanks
