Re: Suspended for refusing to have a disciplinary meeting

Rather unsurprisingly my employment has been terminated. They held a disciplinary meeting without me on the morning of 13/06/2017, I received a notification letter asking me to attend dated 09/06/2017 which was delivered by a courier on the afternoon 13/06/2017. ie after the meeting had taken place. Obviously they knew I didn't have the letter by the tracking details!

Interestingly the minutes of the only meeting I attended state it was a disciplinary meeting, in subsequent letters it has mysteriously changed to a disciplinary investigation meeting!

In the letter you received terminating your employment have you been given the right to appeal, which you should have done. You could appeal on the grounds of not following correct procedures and they can be listed out because there are several although with less than 2 years service the outcome may still be the same. However you need to decide what you want to achieve by any appeal or just decide to move on.

appeal if you like but be honest if you stayed with the company would you be happy or watching your back all the time = move on put it down to experiance, learn from many of us who even after 12 + years winning cases but did not return as we knew it would walking a mine field, case lawyers make money at the end of the day you pay and loose even if you win, move on save money enjoy another job and remember what you have learnt from the experiance.

even fight and win unfair dismissal you loose as limit to pay outs and even then Job centre taken to tribunal and you win , you loose under sub section bla bla minus out of fee then under sub sectionso and so minus so any Payment £ 700+ say you end up with £149.49 or take us to a tribunal = the one just came from = move on
