  • Deceived by go skippy insurance

I purchased insurance for my car for me and my wife 6 months ago. I had a problem with my wages going into the bank so the direct debit failed. It was due to come out on the second of May but I didn't recieve any letters or emails afterwards untill the 23rd of May. I recieved a email saying they were cancelling my policy. I quickly foned them on the 23rd and spoke to a advisor who told me if I paid the outstanding amount of £130 the insurance would stay active. I paid the the £130 and thought that was the end of it. I recieved a email yesterday the 30th of May 7 days later saying I was in arrears to them. I've spent 3 hours on the phone trying to get this sorted out turns out the policy was cancelled on the 22nd a day after I paid the £130. Now they won't refund my money I just get told they will phone me back which they never had. If they knew my policy was already cancelled are they allowed to say they will keep it running if I pay off the year ? What can I do ?
