    Angela Knight said..............

"The credit figures show that borrowing on overdrafts has gone down for the ninth consecutive month and, although there has been a small increase in borrowing on credit cards, the number of new purchases is lower and repayments are steady. At the same time, savings have increased but are not yet back to the sixth month level.

"Together, these numbers show that people are seeking to reduce their debts and save more but are being squeezed by higher food and fuel costs and the increased cost of borrowing."

Angela Knight comment on remortgaging figures:

"The credit crunch is concentrating the mortgage market with the bulk of lending coming from the big banks.

"Remortgaging levels are holding up, which means the banks are providing competitive mortgages to those who were previously mortgaged elsewhere.

"The demand for new mortgages has fallen because of the move from 100% mortgages back to the requirement for deposits as well as concerns about the housing market and the well-documented rises in the price of household basics, such as food and fuel."

Do you not mean inciteful? As in incitement to violence every time she opens her mouth?
