  • Advise needed please

    HI GUYS
hoping someone can help I posted on here a while back about C.C.J I got landed with [own stupid fault] I managed to pay it off after [as I was for warned ] I got a visit as usual I blabbed on and said I could pay etc well I did pay it all off as much as I hated it however I have checked my credit file and the C.C.J is still not shown as settled which I find a bit disappointing
I'm told settled or not it will stay there for 6 years which is fine but who is it that marks it as settled please?
    any advise would be good

    Hi Smartsox

How soon after the CCJ did you settle it ?

I am told that you need to get a copy of 'satisfaction' from the creditor and then send it to the court who will change it to settled. In the short term it won't make any difference to your credit rating though sorry :-(

thanks for help the whole mess came about because this person refused to contact me so looks like stalemate again
let the judgment run for about 12 months[ as the person had not done the job properly yes I did hide my head] he received no payment I never got papers from the court only c.c.j eventually he was very crafty made the bill I owed £620.00 which meant of course he could get the enforcement team to act not fair really but got me self to blame lesson learnt thanks for your reply
