  • Following letter of estoppel Cabot now passing on Debt. Should i send Cease & Desist

Right i have recently asked Cabot financial to provide me proof of cliam in the form of the deed of assignment and the original credit agreement. They tried to say that they had no obligation to provide the deed of assignment and they would forward the credit agreement when received from Capital one.

Long story short, nothing was received after allowing adequate time and sending reminder letters. Finally sent a letter of Estoppel to Cabot who have now responded saying the matter has been passed onto Robinson Way for collection.

My question is can they actually do this? If not what should be my next step and who to? i.e. do i send a cease and desist letter to cabot and ignore RW or send them the same? If i begin correspondence with RW does this then open a further can of worms?

    Advice would be greatly appreciated.
