  • Defended Cabot financial claim

I defended a claim from Cabot financial for an old credit card.

The claimant did not have the necessary documents and withdrew the claim.

The solicitors contine to contact me with letters offering a huge discount with a note in capitals; WITHOUT PREJUDICE SAVE AS TO COSTS.

As as they do not have the relevant paperwork to prove ownership and agreement etc, can I get this removed from my credit file, if so how?

    Thank you in advance.

The default will come off your credit file after 6 years

Personally I think it unlikely to be able to get it removed as it has only been discontinued and was not defeated in court.

I stand to be corrected but if they come up with the goods i.e the paperwork I think they can then restart the claim.

When was the account opened and when was it defaulted?
