Default Virgin & BPO Collections Limited

    Hi, Everyone.

I have recently received a letter from a DCA called BPO Collections Limited for an alleged debt to Virgin Mobile amounting £677.62.

I was at first going to request the agreement from BPO, although I am making an assumption the same CCA rules apply to this kind of finance, is that correct?

Is it worth me getting in touch with Virgin where the debt originated or am I obliged to speak with this DCA? They have supposedly instructed some "field agents" to come a knocking if I don't respond. Any advice on how best to proceed would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Jjay

    Who is their (BPO's) client?

Whether or not the original agreement is a regulated (CCA 1974) one will depend on the original agreement with Virgin.
Most mobile phone agreements are not regulated. (But some are! ).
The best way of sourcing all your data is via a SAR to Virgin Mobile.

What kind of contract is it?
If it is a Freestyle contract it is liable to a CCJ.
