Re: Creditor took me to court for 15 year old debt

to get you to court for assessment then they must of issued proceeding prior to that day and obtained a CCJ against you =

      1. did you receive summons i.e. N1 form court form stating you were being taken to court for a debt etc/ ??

      2. more info who took you to court

      3. who originally owned the debt i.e. you had an account with

the above info will assist people to suggest/recommend next move. as it would seem to have been statute barred at the time of your appearance in chambers, also did you tell them at the time it is over 15 years old no payment?

Did you have any court paperwork given or sent to you after this?

Do you have the letter from 2012 ?

When did you last make a payment towards this debt before 2012?

Have you looked at your credit records to see if you have a CCJ?

if you are not sure - go to Trust on line and for a small fee see if you have a CCJ
