The new appointments are for a three year term from 1 January 2017 to 31 December 2019. They carry a non-pensionable remuneration of (for the Chair) £15,000 for at least 30 days work per year and (for the member) £3,380 for at least 13 days work per year.
Not sure where the £7.5k comes from. £15k for 30 days is £500 (as in your post).

I don't know anything about Dr Martin so can't really comment on her CBE award.

She ok apparently, not like the old ombudsmans ( Anne Seex Tony Redmond Pat thomas, Jerry White ect ), most of us who were fighting them, ( finding them as an usless organisation after dealing with them ) gave up after she took over, she seemd noirmal compared to the others. and the others seem to get bypassed for here.

I just hope they have employed more legaly qualified people, when i checked before, i was shocked to see it staffed by ex council employees, infactt eh Ombudsman i went after ( Anne Seex ) was a dodgy council leadre befroe becoming an ombudsman.

If we had a published complaint systems for public services ( all ) these would not be needed.
crazy council ( as in local council,NELC ) as a member of the public, i don't get mad, i get even
