But for Christmas the town council have changed them to:

Town is now awash with jokes about visitors from "Jersey" having to "pullover" etc etc

Thats a bit odd really when you read through, one part that stood out.

      When honesty is not demonstrated

I am distrustful and suspicious of others and look for the hidden meaning in their actions
I am inconsistent in my behaviour
      Others cannot depend on me
I sometimes say things that are untrue

Just seems a bit odd, to put that first

there rest of it is reads like a cult induction manual, or the description that Disney would write for people who were suits in Disneyland. Who writes these things ??

Been trying to get my council to to adopt the motto

      Keep it socialy simple
Make your area resinate sucsessfull enterprise
crazy council ( as in local council,NELC ) as a member of the public, i don't get mad, i get even

doesn't it just. That was why i posted it really - apart from the fact that i hate them. It really resembles brainwashing. But there are so many people employed by them who are related to each other and who live in council properties and will get a council pension when they retire (which is all they really care about) that your analogy isn't maybe as jokey as it appears. In my experience the "behaviour" of their staff from the very top downwords is much, much less than this perfect scenario they are painting.
