  • Parking Charge Notice (PCN) from Horizon Parking on behalf of Sainsbury's

    Hi,

We received a PCN today for overstaying in Sainsbury's for an extra 20mins (they have a two hour limit).

Friends have advised me to ignore the notice as it's not a proper penalty issued by the council, they say it's a private company issuing it so it's not enforceable. Grateful for any advice on this. With Xmas just around the corner, I can't really afford to cough up £40 - £70 and I don't want to get into any trouble.
