    Re: Redundant

    Hi and welcome

I'm no employment specialist, but it certainly doesn't appear your job is redundant!

How long have you worked for this employer? .. less than 2 years and you have few rights.

Did your employer follow a fair process?

This post will bump your thread, and hopefully it will be picked up by others

Hi Thanks for replying. I've worked for them for just coming up to 6 years. It's going to be approximately £120 /£ 150 a week drop in my wages plus il lose my Holidays ppp and also my weekend allowance! ! that's £ 120/ £150 A WEEK DROP IN MY WAGES by the way. They are going to try and change the job title. Does anyone know whether or not I can refuse the offer? ?

        Re: Redundant

What are the reasons for making you redundant, its a bit cheeky to say work for an agency, i'd be like i'm taking my redundancy money. And my holidays and getting my 4 yr tax rebate, and looking for another job you can look for rights under unfair dismissal etc.

          Hi Jacqui

In your first post you say
My employer has made me redundant
A person is not made redundant. Redundancy, in broad terms, is due to closure of a business, or closure of a usual workplace, or a reduction of staff.
If the job is still essentially the same (regardless of a change in job title - that's just a label), there could be grounds for unfair dismissal.
          Have you accepted the offer?
