  • PPI claim

Good afternoon, just wanted to get a bit of advice for a family member.

About 3 months ago they got a pack from the claims company saying they could get PPI back for them.

A form was signed to send off to the bank to give authority for them to search.

Money was won but they are now asking for 36% of the money.

My question is, is this legitimate?
    Is this legal?
And if a payment is NOT made what are the consequences of this.

    Thanks

    Re: PPI claim

It's almost certainly legal as will be what your relative signed up for. You can check the paperwork details to be sure, but 36% sounds pretty normal

If it isn't paid, the Claims company will probably take them to court for a CCJ.
