  • N24 General Form of Judgement or Order

    Hello,

I was due to go on holiday with a group of friends and 2 weeks before departure my name was removed from the booking, and an alternative name was placed on by the lead passenger. I entered a claim on MCOL to which the defendant disputed resulting in the case been passed to my local court. Today I have received an N24 (general form of judgement or order) which states 'the application is refused as: a)no indication of any grounds for disputing the judgement sum demonstrating a real prospect of sucessfully defending the claim, or b)no other good reason for setting judgement aside.

Can anybody please explain what this means as I am unsure if I still have to go to court or whether I have won/lost my claim.:tinysmile_hmm_t2:

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

    hi
Looks to me as if you got a summary judgement in your favour as the defence had no hope!
This would be according to CPR 24.2

Contact the court to confirm you don't need to apply for judgement, just in case!
