If sent via MCOL that should be fine.
You can phone the court just to make absolutely certain it has been received & accepted.

I would SAR Vanquis.

If you mean received, you normally get notification that it is a defended claim, the defence has been sent to the other party & they have 28 days to reply.

Hi, just checked with money claim and nothing has happened since it says my defence was received on 29/11/16, any idea what happens now?

Possibly 'stayed', though Xmas & New year hols may affect things.
Give the court a phone call to check the current status of the claim.

just spoke to to court and it was stayed on the 3rd of January and I was told not do do anything for now unless I hear from the court or the claimant.

what will I hear if anything?

also can this be removed from my credit report if nothing further happens?

stays for 6 years unless in scotland 5 years, it has to be a true entry of fact, regardless enforceable or not!

Unless they pay £255 to lift the stay it will remain in limbo.
Whether or not they do so is a commercial decision for them.

Atm, no. (But if it is inaccurate you can challenge it)
Reporting to CRAs is not considered to be 'enforcement'

Thanks Mike - sorry again so do you know if it exists will it effect your credit rating in the future as I'm trying to improve me credit file at the moment but see it on there and worry it's the only thing I can't improve
