  • Parking charge notice from Premier Park Ltd

    Hi,
I received a parking charge notice on 21/06/2016 from Premier Park Ltd. I was parked without a permit outside a new build. I am a support worker and was supporting a service user and her family to move into the new build. After taking advice from many people I ignored the first couple of letters. On the 3rd letter I sent a letter back saying I refuted the charge and explaining why. I never heard back from them. Now I have had 2 letters from Zenith Collections saying I will be taken to court and this will affect my credit rating. I have just called Zenith and tried to explain that this was due to my job and that it was new builds and no one knew we had to get parking permits. Even the house owner didn't know. They basically said tough, and it will be going to court if I refuse to pay the charge. In fact, the guy on the other end of the phone was darn right rude and in the end, put the phone down on me.
Do I have a chance of winning this case? I really don't want my credit rating affected, I have only just got it back to how I want it
    Thanks

Nothing you can do at the moment regarding appeals as you are out of time and would have won.

Make sure you get photos of the area and signs and perhaps ask the leaseholder what it says about parking in their lease just in case you need this information.

    http://www.parking-prankster.com/case-law.html read 34,35 & 36

It is only if you lose and fail to pay within 28 days that your credit record is an issue.

http://www.bmpa.eu/companydata/Premier_Park.html They don't do much in the way of court, yet.
