Time to get a defence prepared, take a look at the template defences in the green box at the top of the " court claim" forum, familiarise yourself with the content and format build a draft defence and post here then we can go through it with you.

Have you resent the £1 fee?

I have until the end of this week to get my defence in I'm just feel so confused and don't really understand this kind of stuff. I physically don't have the money to pay the debts my husband left me with. Feel like I'm drowning with it all.

Ok so I've got my head out of my bum after having a panic. Attached is the start of a defence. Also not sure what to put where it asks (77 or 78) consumer credit act and also paragraph 11 of the defence template. [S77(1) /s78 (1) ] also [s77(4) / s78 (6) ]. Thanks everybody any feed back would be greatly appreciated

For the moment, if it were me I'd resend the £1 fee via the solicitor, with a covering letter referring to that letter they sent (the one claiming the missing fee) & ask them (solicitors) to forward it on to their client.
Again, keep copies & get proof of posting.
For now, non-compliance with your CCA request is your defence.

I've not used their services, but I believe it's a reputable organisation, & it's free.

I'll give @Debt Camel a nudge for you as well.

But you'll still need to prepare a defence for the pending court case.
