  • Default posted AFTER debt paid in full ..any redress?

My son had difficulties and employed Valour Finance to help. Debts were being paid and their service was good. I took out a loan to help him and Valour Finance cleared all the debt. One creditor then decided to issue a default and have refused to remove it. Anything he can do about this unfairness?

Debt is like any other trap, easy enough to get into, but hard enough to get out of.

How long ago did your son get into difficulties with this creditor?

      When was the debt repaid?

What is the default date that has been added to the debt?

Does it show a zero balance owing?

If you had any solution to this problem please tell me. My boyfriend is in the same situation and has been told because of it he cannot buy a house until 2020! Because Valour Finance have closed there is nothing we can do to get them to help us. We have contacted everyone. How can a company that is closed down hold information that stops your from getting a mortgage? It is just the most unfair thing, and the worst thing is there is nothing we can do to make it right. He has been out of debt for over a year now too.
