• Premier park parking charge notice first reminder

    Hi,

I hope you can help me. I received a pcn first reminder dated 15sept the other day saying payment of pcn is overdue and requesting payment of £100.

In terms of context and back ground, the car park is for a vets4pets establishment. There is a subway sandwich store between the car park, and the vets4pets. The driver was in the subway store for no longer than 5 minutes. They saw the parking signs on return to the car, and queried it with the subway staff, and they said it should be fine. I also thought to phone the vets4pets store the following week and they said if it wasn't there too long it should be fine.

As a result of the above actions I was surprised by the first reminder as I have not received the first original pcn which is stated to be dated 17aug.

Also £100 seems disproportionate to a 5 minute infringement, but I appreciate that this is more of an unauthorised parking point so time is not really relevant to the offence.

Do have any basis for appeal, or will I have to suck it up and pay?

    Kind regards,

    Barry

THank you for a quick response.

Unfortunately I called the store the other day. They stated that 3minutes is the threshold of no charge, and that all they do is supply registraion plate numbers to premier park on a daily basis, after that (as they informed me) there is nothing else they can do.

Is there any point in appealing either to reduce the fine, as I didn't receive the initial notice, or appeal all together?

Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to provide.

      Kind regards,

      Barry

Mystery 1 than you for your assistance so far.

I believe I was talking to the manager when I got the information in my first couple of posts. I have not tried social media yet as my main concern is the premier park pcn.

Based on your initial responses I presume I would not have much luck with an appeal, as you haven't directly responded to those parts of my query. But do please correct me if I am wrong in that presumption.

          Kind regards,

          Barry

I'll tag mystery1 for you, and I'm sure he'll point you to the correct appeal (although he is already helping ... many pcns are cancelled by the company that hired the parking lot without having to appeal ) xx

Re: Premier park parking charge notice first reminder

When the incident date is 17/8/16 and the reminder is over 28 days and you post 23/9/16 it is incredibly difficult to a scumbag parking company to allow you to appeal. They allow 28 days and are happy if you don't even when it was impossible to do so because the PCN never arrived. You could bring the non delivery to their attention and look for common sense to be applied but i wouldn't hold your breath.

I was concentrating on a way to help you that has a far higher chance of success. Further you have more chance of being a successful ignorer than you ever did of getting an appeal heard after 28 days.
