  • BBC Article: Protect Bank Transfers

The article is about the Super Complaint that Which?, as a designated consumer group, has put into the Payment Services Regulator in this regards. It has asked for people to contact them(PSR, that is, and addy at the botom of the BBC article) with cases. The difficulty is enormous in regards to Direct Payments because there are cases of Fraud, where someone is conned into sending a payment to an account which is then cleared out immediately. There is cases where people put in one digit incorrectly, and the payment is made to someone, yet the receiving bank has no powers to remove that payment immediately it is made aware of the incorrect payment. So the difficulty is to balance the rights of those who have received a correct payment against the fraud/error payments. Any ideas as to how that could be done?
