    Excellent outcome. I would though suggest that you ask the council for confirmation of the amount of council tax that was outstanding when they applied for a Liability Order. When the Liability Order was obtained, additional summons costs would have been added. It could well be that the initial debt was just £10.76 and with the summons costs added....over £80.

    If it is the case that a Liability Order was obtained for just £10, then I would suggest that a complaint in lodged.

      I'm going to make a complaint still as it did end up at £500 from £10.76 before going to court and they should of seen on system that I wasn't getting benifit a at this point as to why I couldn't pay
