    Folks,

    could use a little advice...

I had 3 debts with Vanquis, Capital One and a debt owing my daughters old drama school run through the local borough.
However, each of the three have said the debt has been passed onto Mortimer Clarke Solicitors, Lowell Financial and Moorcroft Debt Recovery.

Now, I fully admit I have these debts but my question is, do I need to be shown ABSOLUTE proof by the above that they have indeed 'bought' the debt from the originator?

I have emailed the first two to offer a maximum repayment of £20pm but am yet to hear from them. Moorcroft, I sent them a letter of the same nature but am yet to receive a reply.

I have advised setting up a SO not a DD with them but my question is also, although I do have the debts, how can I be sure they are truthful and that the debt now lies with them despite the originators not sending me letters either?...

Im sure I need to give you guys further info so if that the case please ask me to and I will. If not, thanks in advance!

    Max

before you do anything else ,, give more information on each alledged debt i.e. Taken out date/last payment/default date/letter of transfer of debt to new owner or if they are just collecting on behalf of originator etc etc no personal information be given on here. dates taken out?

these days if a debt is purchased the new owner sends you a good bye letter/we have purchased the alledged debt letter in the same envelope.

probably be advised on here to send CCA1974 request with £1.00 postal order (marked on reverse " For CCA1974 Request Use Only", this will give us an idea if the alledged debt is Enforceable/Non Enforceable????

The others on here will no doubt advise you also! so wait and see.
