  • Joining a Trade Union.

Can anyone recommend a trade union I could join? Unite or Unison have been suggested - has anyone had any dealings with either union?

I am having a really bad time at work

Most unions will require a certain length of membership before they can offer advice. I did join one of the above named unions recently.

I joined simply as a protective measure due to issues at work so that should anything happen that I could have a union rep present at any meetings I might or might not have.

Everyone in employment should join a union . They are there for the protection of working people. We will need strong unions soon as the toory secret adgenda has come out recently with one candidate advocating the end to all worker protection for the smallest companies. This is simply the thin end of the wedge as the tories attempt to abolish all worker protections .
