  • Grievance due to unfair discplinary

I was assaulted on a work night out/function. I acted in self defence.
Both I and the instigator were called to disciplinary.
The instigator resigned due to dismissal being likely.
I was cleared of gross misconduct but given a written warning and effect to my bonus.
The instigator was re-employed with a different division of the same company after one month.
I am now appealing as I had my bonus reduced and think that there was a lack of disciplinary process and I was treated unfairly.
I am expected to work with the instigator once more.
Advice welcome, should i pursue a grievance?

A function outside of work whether a work's Do etc are not good grounds for a disciplinary. I certainly would appeal over losing your bonus as if the employer were to be struck on a night out with the other employees am sure they would defend their self without losing anything.
