  • Wright Hassall Solicitors & Civil Enforcement Ltd

    Hi All,

I'm looking for some advice, I parked in a no parking area in a Tesco car park which was being enforced by Civil Enforcement Ltd. I have received a number of letters to my old address including the attached, I moved out of there shortly after the event happened several months back. I am loath to pay these charlatans but I'm slightly concerned at how likely I am to get taken to court and forced to pay out. Currently they are looking for £236 from me which I can pay but I really don't want to!

I've not had any contact with any party so far. How likely is it that I will have to go to court and pay out? Any advice would be welcome.

Standard debt collection nonsense. Zzzps do not own the debt and cannot take you to court. CEL might eventually but they'd need a very friendly judge to award the sums claimed in that letter.

I would guess you may get a better offer soon but then i'd not pay that either.

      Hi,

Thank you for your reply, would you suggest I just wait until I receive another letter? I just wondered how often civil enforcement ltd try to take people to court?
