  • Bank default valid dispute?

    Hi all

I had a Yorkshire bank overdraft which went over limit in 2012 due to changing jobs (ended fixed contract and struggled). After a few months I got a new job and rang the collections department to arrange a repayment scheme. On 28/12/2012 I began paying £30 a week until the balance of £1359 was cleared in full. The bank had agreed no further enforcement or default action would happen as long as I kept up with the agreement. I maintained my end, cleared the balance and thought no more about it. As I'm due to apply for a mortgage I checked my file to fine a poor score, dragged down by a default notice date 16/02/13. I had no idea! Should I lay down and take it as I did owe the money, or try to clear my file? General thoughts and advice please.

    Thanks
