  • Voluntary Termination - doing it right?!

    Hi everyone,

I am in the process of going through a VT on behalf of my girlfriend.
I've read a ton of these threads that are extremely insightful and I no doubt will be referring to them throughout the upcoming process.

This morning I called MINI financial services and said I wish to process with a VT, at which they said we will be liable for any damages and excess mileage charges. They are sending out a letter that I need to sign and return, however I've noticed on the contract it states -

'You have the right to end this agreement early, to do so, you should write to the person you make your payments to.'

Nowhere does it mention signing anything (which I'd rather not do!). Would this be the best way to proceed with this as opposed to signing and returning their letter? I'm just trying to take the angle of not getting myself into an awkward position later down the line.

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Jon
