  • Newbie - parking tix at my OWN gym!

    Hi all, and @mystery1

I have received a parking notice from MET for parking at my own gym. The parking lot is free but asks drivers to register their vehicle at the gym. It doesn't say so BEFORE you enter the carpark. And within the carpark, the signs are so small you can't read them properly unless you are right up close. There is a pod in the gym for registering on the ground floor. I was late for a class one day, and parked for 45 min without registering. I did not exceed the 3 hours parking limit. I have appealed against MET who rejected my claim, who said (with poor gramma) that they do not need to demonstrate genuine pre-esimtate loss, and out of "goodwill" have reduced the "charge" if I pay within 14 days. I have read extensively on the forums, including the ParkingEye vs Beavis case. Any advice on whether I should cough up the money?
I now have a POPLA code. I have complained to the gym manager who seem to be powerless to do anything. Advice much appreciated thanks!!!
