  • bailiffs at my mums

yesteday i had a phone call from my mum who had bailiffs in the house threatening to take her stuff as my brother who lodges with her owed them money (£360). she passed the phone to me and they said unless she can prove or has receipts for everything in the house they will start loading up, i told them was ridiculous as she has accumulated her posessions over the l;ast 20-30 years so was a ridiculous request. its her house and my useless brother lodges with her.

as she was naturally panicing and stressed i had to make the payment with my card to get them to leave. is there anything i can do now or is it too late? what should i have done?
