  • Met parking invalid popla number

Hi Im new on here. My wife recently a ticket for apparantly being parked too long in a local Mcdonalds. Issued by MET parking. After initial appeal to them, they issued rejection, and informed of popla number.
I got all evidence together, and think I have a fairly strong case for appeal, but on trying to appeal online have discovered that the number given is invalid.
My question is, should I contact MET for a new number, or can I use their mistake to have the ticket overturned.

Yes complain to them about the invalid number and copy the BPA. Doubt if it will get cancelled

I had thought about appealing by post using the popla number I have been given. Obviously it would be rejected by popla, but as im using the number ive been given by MET parking, but it would highlight METs breech of practice to popla. Would this help my appeal.

It wouldn't help your appeal one little bit. POPLA will not even look at your appeal as the number is not valid.

Do you want help with the appeal? Put it on here for critique with personal and identifying details removed.

          Popla do not issue codes.

If you need a new one then it's the operator that has to produce it. The BPA should force them, assuming the 1st one should have expired.
