  • Old T mobile contract

Posting on behalf of my wife.

My wife has been badgered into paying "alleged debts" off with Lowlifes, this was prior to me finding this website...anyway, in 2010 I managed to get a new contract of my won with Vodafone, with 2 contracts, one for me and one for my wife. Now we are certain that we started this on 2010 and haven't left Vodafone (until April 2017! wohoo..lol)

This morning my wife received a letter from Lowlifes regarding an old mobile contract that she had dating back we think from before 2010. Lowlifes have also hit my wife with a default own her credit file from March 2016 showing it as T mobile.

As (I believe) telecommunications don't come under the CCA, is it a matter of sending Lowlifes a prove it letter as we cant even remember when we gave up the contract from T mobile. I have got money back off Capquest after deign some delving into my wifes credit file and money she is paying under duress to Lowlifes already, they seem to have got hold of this alleged debt and as she is paying them £50 a month already (therefore acknowledging the debt) I cannot contest this, or can I?

I would just like to fire off something of a prove it letter to lowlifes and to get them to remove the entry on my wifes credit file as we cannot find anything relating to mobile as it has been so long ago.

    Many Thanks

    Re: Old T mobile contract

    Hi,

The original creditor ( T Mobile) would have registered the account /default on the credit file Lowell should only up date the file with its " ownership " details from the date the debt was assigned to them.

The original default date Cannot be changed.

Are you sure the March 2016 is a default date and not just the date Lowell has updated the files?
