  • BPA members - Initial appeal - Ticket affixed to vehicle

    Always talk to retailers, hoteliers, businesses and landowners management and try to get the ticket cancelled but appeal unless and until you get confirmation.


    Do not appeal until you get the letter via post which is called a notice to keeper. It takes between 28 & 56 days to arrive.


    The point of the initial appeal is to get a popla code for a 2nd stage appeal. Most times an initial appeal will not get the ticket cancelled although if it's retail related and you have receipts for a few quid you do have a better chance.






    Dear Sirs,


    I, as registered keeper, wish to invoke your appeals procedure. The driver .................... Insert something here (see below)


    I note that the notice to keeper is fundamentally flawed when compared to the protection of freedoms act 2012 schedule 4 paragraphs 7/8.


    Should you reject my appeal, please supply a popla code.

    Option to insert in appeal :-


    The driver was a genuine customer (see attached receipts)


    The driver was a genuine customer.


    The driver saw no signs.




    Email or online is the best way to appeal. Check your ticket for the allowed methods and/or website and email addresses.
