I have had the attached letter from them chasing a resolution saying that I have not withdrawn my defence and can they come to an arrangement to pay. I am assuming they are taking this path as they realise that they cannot enforce this case and will not get any payment without proof the debt exists.

What response should I make to them if any?
NONE! sure others will advise on issue?

Why would you have withdrawn your defence... weird people @ Restons. Not sure why they are rattling on about assignment either, seems a little odd. Anyway, no I don't think there is any need to respond to them, they are ''reminding you'' of the debt, and invite you to contact them if you want to pay ... which you don't, I assume.

Re: Threat of Court Claim from Restons

Claim was for £1800 ? so that's a 50% discount. I'd guess they haven't supplied you with any of the documents still.

Completely up to you, it is a standard begging letter and they do still need to provide documents before they can get any judgment - and they aren't threatening to apply to lift the stay. They might do at some point in the future so you have to weigh up that risk vs getting this settled at a discount now ( you could probably get that down more as well if you negotiate ). You have been asking for the CCA since something like 2012 I believe so it does seem unlikely they'll suddenly pop up with it now. So can ignore or negotiate to get rid for good.

Alternatively you could look into applying to court for a strike out or summary judgment - this carries a cost of the application, plus potential costs if you lost, and potentially could result in an order for them to comply with your CCA and CPR requests or be struck out ( unless order) which would draw a line under it if they did fail to comply.
