Neither of us mentioned what had been said previously and carried on as if this was our first meeting. This time he gave lots of good advice and pointers which I have taken on board. I came away feeling we had got somewhere and that I had a few directions I could go. To me, this time he did his job and advised me, and he did it in a professional and courteous way.

    Thanks for all your help
I'm glad we could help xx

Since my complaint I now have to see my advisor once a week. One week will be to sign on and the following week will be 5 minutes of him just asking how my jobsearch is going but he wont look at my jobseach until the week I am actually signing on. Is this normal practice?

Weekly trips to the jobcentre are (IMO) better than daily-signing I suppose ... were you given a letter explaining how it works, how long you will have to do it for etc...??

Remember to claim your travel expenses from them every time you have to go in on a day that is not for signing-on xx

It sounds very counter productive to me, ie doesn't make sense and is a waste of time and travel expenses....walking tread on your shoes. If you're signing on that day every fortnight you should be doing a quick, 5 minute job search then.
