  • Shop Direct / AVIVA PPI Claim Upheld by FOS

    Good Morning,
I have been trying for over 4 years to get ppi and extra care insurance refunded to myself and my husband on both our littlewoods accounts. Yesterday I received a letter from the FOS saying that AVIVA will be refunding us plus interest but we have to wait up to 8 weeks for a compensation amount from them. Has anyone else been in this position and if so how long did they actually take? I have no idea how much we paid as it was from 2002 on one account and 2003 on the other.

That's good news, it is usually a little quicker than 8 weeks - they will tell you the amounts once they've got all the calculations back from Aviva then you'll be able to accept (or turn down) the refund and it will be a week or two after that you'll get the payment.
