    Hi guys,

Happy new year and all the best for 2016

My brother in law has a contract with three and has done for some time within the original term. Last month he was charged extra for "another device" by three (£8.00) and called them. They admitted they could see he didn't request it or take it out but this month have charged him £1 extra again.

Legally could he cancel the direct debit and walk away from the contract as they've admitted he wasn't responsible for the extra charges but continue to charge him for something he didn't agree to, nor want.

    Thanks

    Good morning,
It is unwise in the extreme to attempt to walk away from a phone service contract, the phone providers are
very quick to slap on large cancellation penalties.
Sell debts on to a debt purchaser which may well start court action.

What would be the best course of action to take?

A formal complaint is the classic way forward, it requires the recipient to investigate
        and respond within 56 days.
Best addressed to senior management / director level person.
