  • Accrued holidays through TUPE transfer

    Hi,
please can someone give me some advice so I can confront my new employers?
I have just been transferred to a new employer through TUPE, and I still have 14 days paid holidays to take. My old company's holiday year ran from April to March. The new company's year runs from Jan to December. I was transferred on 1st December.
I know holidays are transferred over too. I have asked my new company to give me some answers about when I can put a request in for a weeks holiday, and when I can have my remaining 14 days etc.
The only answer they have given me twice so far is that will inform me when their HR department get back to them, and they mentioned something about a ratio that will be added to new holidays. I don't understand it.
I am worried that after the new company's year finishes on Dec 31st, I will not be able to take my accrued 14 days, or at least not all of them (as well as my earned 30 days holidays for 7 years employment). Please please can somebody inform me what to do or say now. Thank you. Andy C.
