  • annual investment allowance question?

    hi
i wonder if anyone might be able to help with these?

i am employed in the Entertainment sector full time
I also have a self employed sole trader business providing theatrical lighting designs for some local dramatic societies
I wish to make a purchase this year of a camera to record my work and hopefully get a website together to drum up some more work.
under Annual Investment Allowance am I able to write off the whole amount of the camera?
Am I able to purchase this under finance and still claim in entirety?
Would a second hand purchase qualify for the allowance?
Is the allowance part of the standard SE form or do I need to apply for or obtain additional forms?
is it possible to squeeze it in this years tax return?
sorry if this is all rudimentary stuff but haven't been going long..
many thanks in adv for any information you may wish to impart on this matter
    JJ
