  • PIP Claim

As another prong on my attempt to get my PIP sorted out i submitted a new claim while the old one is being sorted . Well I received a text on 1st Oct saying they had received it and today received two letters, one the standard we expect to have a result within 20 weeks of you making original contact and the other inviting me for a medical assessment in Birmingham ( Hagley Rd for those that know it) in 2 weeks time.

Problem 1, the OH is in OZ and gets back 2 days before so would not be able to get the time off

Problem 2, I stated that i can not walk more than 200M without getting pains/out of breath etc so out of the 3 options they gave me 2 had walks of over 1/2 mile and one of over 100M -are they trying to catch me out?

Anyway I called up and asked if they could pay for a taxi from either new St station or Five Ways , I can make it to New St as it is a very very familiar journey . The answer was probably not, upshot they offered me a home visit in 2 days time -Wednesday 9am . While I didn't exactly have a melt down on the phone it was pretty obvious that i could not get a sentence together ( Its been a shitty day ) and i am trying desperately to get someone to be with me on Wed

At least i can show whoever comes the tech that i use for Uni i.e mind view, audio notetaker and the like . I have prepared by getting all the notes together so i have, as near as possible a copy of what they have

Has anyone else got any advice

From last time it seems that they do not like you using notes or at least that was the impression i got
