  • N180 form

Have received completed N180 from claimant with the box for mediation ticked 'NO' and have sent mine with the box ticked for mediation. However have been approached by the court business centre to go to mediation as they say their copy of the form from the claimant has the 'YES' box ticked.
Surely this is not what the claimant should be doing to a legal procedure and could this lead to the case being struck off.

These forms are usually completed by junior or trainee " paralegals " "clerical errors are very common.

Thanks for the reply. However the form I received is a photocopy but the tick for no mediation has been quite clearly added after. I assume it was photocopied before that section ticked in order to "encourage" us to pay rather than a court case.

Possible but it was inevitable the court would pull the discrepancy when it went before the admin judge.
