  • Parking Eye - Crown Wharf Shopping Park Walsall August 2015

    Hi all.
Went to Crown Wharf Walsall as i have done many times before on 15/8 this year.
so i know its a pay carpark.
As always, i put £2 in for 2-3 hours but lo and behold i recieve this fine today through the cars lease company (see attachment) stating i stayed for
    2 hours 19 minutes..
Sadly i havent got the parking receipt now (seeing as i clean my car regularly) but regardless if by some chance i did only pay for 2 hours it was quite an eventful episode trying to leave the carpark.
We were stuck in the carpark from just after 12.00 until 12.35 (as pictured) because there was an EDL march right outstide the car park and no one could turn left out of it due to the police/council closing the road.... so it was gridlock on the carpark and coming in/off it.

Can anyone advise me on my next course of action has having read around the various forums relating to Parking Eye i see conflicting advise.

    Cheers all :tongue2:

    Dear Sirs,

I, as registered keeper, wish to invoke your appeals procedure. The driver purchased 3 hours of parking time. Your cameras don't actually capture parking time as they are situated at the entry/exit. The BPA code of practice states a grace period should be allowed for such reasons. You lost in court before because a vehicle wasn't parked when you said it was http://nebula.wsimg.com/c289944f81b4...&alloworigin=1 Due to an EDL march that day the carpark and surrounding roads were clogged up and the driver was parked for under 2 hours.

Should you reject my appeal please supply a popla code.

    Yours etc

If you get a popla code let me know.

    M1
