  • CAFCASS - Contact notes

Hello , I was hoping i could possibly get some advice please

I am currently in family court with my ex partner who is trying to get a contact order for our 2 children.

It is a very complicated situation and we have been in court for the last 9 months.

My children have had 6 weeks supervised contact sessions which have now finished. At the last hearing Cafcass recommended we move to supported contact . I was not happy with this for many reason and raised my concerns about how Cafcass had assessed the sessions

The Judge extended the sessions but they are now suspended, at the same venue and ordered the contact notes be served to the court and me and my ex.

My question is am i now entitled to the notes from the suspended contact sessions ?

I know a lot of notes and concerns have been sent to Cafcass from the suspended sessions and the contact session was very nearly stopped yesterday because of my ex's behaviour

I am L.P , i have not asked Cafcass yet as i wanted to know my legal position first ...if she does not have to give them to me she wont , I had to chase her for the first contact notes

Thankyou in advance for any advice
