  • Landlord is witholding deposit.

My son was in a rented accomodation in Manchester. He tried to contact the landlord to give his one months notice. The landlord lives in Greece, so my lad and his flat-mates contacted the letting agency, they said they would contact him. That was three months ago, now the landlord is saying he wont give the £800 back to them because they never contacted him to give notice of them leaving. The letting agency are saying they contacted him but he denies they did........GIT!

Where do they go from here? Please.

    Best wishes,
    Hod..Liam..

    Re: Landlord is witholding deposit.

Reputable letting agencies hold onto the deposit during the tenancy.
If the LA handled the let, they should handle the deposit.
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )
