    Re: Problems with trades gateway

I had a took this believing that live will be change unfortunately life is hard and one thing lead to another my partner and father had an operation then my partner got pregnant and been on maternity leave money and my salary was not great but we survive, I did mentioned this to them and they could not care less, after long conversations and emails both ways the settle for a reduction on payments which make things longer at the end of the day i was trying to do what was best for my career path but now is not great and they passed it to a debt recovery company as I could not meet the payments.
my big question here is on way out of this after two years +?

    thanks for your help.

Thank you for your webmail. We feel rather unhelpful with the online test as it is computer generated and marked, we have no access to this test and are unable to provide you with feedback., There is a paper based assessment issued by your customer services should you have had four attempts at this exam. With the paper based test you will receive , we can give you all the support necessary to complete it should you wish so. I do hope this answers your query.

yes and that paper takes about 40 hours of your time to complete and is extreme disigned to fustrate you so you quit the course but still end up paying for it. total joke thieves.

Ive been with trades gateway for 4 years and they have now informed me my course has expired even though the the course has no time limit to completion (which I was told) I to had all the same problems with pre attendance tests, no help from the tutor team just a text message every month reminding to re sit the same test over and over again. I’ve gone to an ombudsman for some advice and they think I’ve got a case for compensation. Anyone else had any success with compensation also I’ve finished paying for my course November 2016 and wasn’t even told about the possibility of the course ending this company’s a shambles I feel sorry for anyone who’s been lied and cheated this way.

I'm out, I paid 11months and I finished the contract with them. I don't have to pay nothing.

I am having a problem with Trades Gateway too!

I signed up for the Domestic Electrical Installer (BE) course which had a fee of £4425 in September 2015.

I paid a cash deposit of £50 and was told I could pay for the rest of the course over 35 consecutive months ( £125 per month) on a pay as you go basis. The first payment started on 15/10/2015 and the agreement was signed in September 2015.

I have been paying this since then, sometimes struggling to pay it!

I was also told that I could cancel this at anytime and start again as circumstances changed.

I tried to cancel the course in January 2016 as I realised I wouldn't have the time to commit to the course but was told when I contacted them by phone that I wouldn't be able to cancel the course as it was after the cooling off period. The woman on the phone told me to read the conitions on the agreement on the reverse.I did, a took what she said to be the case so have continued paying for the course I am not doing!

I am coming to the final payments for the course, but was wondering if there is any way of obtaining the funds back I have paid for a course I haven't done?

Hope someone can offer some advice.

                          Thanks

                          AJB2001

Hope I have posted this in the correct place!
