    His am new to this site,

    I have just had a man at my door and have handed over an envelope when opened its a letter from the courts to attend for questioning to a loan I has over 10 years ago,

    The letter is N39 order to attend court for questioning.

    It's for amount of £3,992.22

    Just what to know what to do. I also had ppi with this company. But when every I asked they said I didn't meet there critia

    Do you know if you have a CCJ against you for this debt ? Have you had any communication with the claimant since ?

    The N39 basically means you take your income and expenditure and evidences of such to court - so the claimant can see if it is worth taking further enforcement action such as attachment of earnings, bailiffs or third party debt order... or if it can arrange an instalment order for the CCJ. Its basically completing this form http://hmctsformfinder.justice.gov.u.../ex140-eng.pdf with the court, helping to read that through so you know what questions are asked and what evidences you need. Should be info on the N39 you received.
