every day without fail this week I have had the same man from Lifestyle Choices call me at between 12 and 2pm!
Operator: Hello, is that Mr Puffrose?
Me: Well unless I have had HRT, no!
Operator: Hello Mrs Puffrose, I wish you a beautiful morning blah blah *brain stopped when I realised its a telemarketer and I lost interest*
Me: yes yes, who are you and what do you want?
Operator: I need to ask you a few simple question....
Me: Ok, NO, goodbye! * hangs phone up*

Today I went gallooley and told him where he could shove his survey to be told its a LEGAL REQUIREMENT to answer him!!

As you may have guessed, mentally im not in my normal happy place this week.. and its gonna be a while before I am but at least Ive stopped crying at spongebob squarepants now, so i went beserk down the phone at him and told him that NO means just that and i was reporting his company to TPS and anyone else that would listen to me.. and I cant add them to my block list as its a withheld number!

Unfortunatly for me, my brother in Canada's number also shows up as withheld and i cant be without contact to him.. and I darent block any calls just in case i block my sisters or the hospital..

but if these idiots call you they are like chuffing limpets, you cannot get rid of them!!

    Re: lifestyle choices surveys

Seems calls like these are becoming more frequent - https://ico.org.uk/action-weve-taken...-and-messages/
Concerns about lifestyle surveys increased by 202 this month but this was a similar number to that reported in May 2014. Survey type calls are commonly used to generate leads across multiple areas as they gather information about various aspects of an individual’s life. These types of calls are a breach of the DPA and the PECR, and should be reported to the ICO. We continue to work with the Market Research Society in identifying organisations which are acting unlawfully.

      Re: lifestyle choices surveys

In Finland, selling mobile phone contract by the phone was made illegal at one point, though it's only a temporary measure.

Why the hell can't the authorities do something similar here? Is it really that difficult?

        Re: lifestyle choices surveys

If we're going to do that, we might as well get rid of all CMCs. :tinysmile_cry_t:

There are always people out there who say they are happy to pay for the service though, but it should be: "I'll call you, don't call me".

You could always have fun with them instead?? Answer all their questions (highest wage bracket, top of the range car, 3+ foreign holidays a year etc...) then when they ask you if you'd be getting a new consevatory/solar panels in the next couple of years say "I didn't think you could fit those on a tent" :tinysmile_twink_t2:

I've never had a lifestyle survey call but this should give *some people I know* (I know they're out there reading this) some ideas to amuse themselves. ::yo:

I receive mostly annoying recorded calls from CMCs, you can't have fun with a recording.

Flaming Parrot might be referring to me.

How I sometimes deal with cold callers would be unprintable here:tinysmile_twink_t2:
