Public liability would be appropriate for selling goods at shows, craft fairs, markets, etc. It is usually a requirement for stallholders and those who participate in events.

Professional indemnity is mostly intended for those who offer professional services such as accountants, consultants, brokers, lawyers, surveyors, etc. It covers against claims for negligence and other errors and omissions.

Directors and officers insurance is cover for personal liability for decisions made by directors and other officers of the company (such as a Company Secretary) in the course of business.

IMHO only public liability would apply to suppliers of handmade items, if they sell them at fairs, etc. but not if they are just sold online or through shops run by third parties in which case the shop should have their own insurance.

Without knowing the type of handmade items it's hard to say any more.
